I just helped one of our students today (04-28-2017) with the same issue. Sudo /Applications/OBS.app/Contents/MacOS/OBS (please note that the only space is between sudo and /Applications) then hit enter (you might have to type your password) if so, input password and hit enter (password will not show when you type it in Terminal so don't worry if you type and don't see anything) open Terminal.app (in /Applications/Utilities) find the "obs-studio" folder and delete it go to Finder, click the Go menu, then "Go to Folder…" Also delete the settings/application support files: Delete the OBS Application (if you still have it installed).
